The evening of May 25, 2017 is dedicated to all our Tellers and Keepers. It is an evening you do not want to miss.
IABC Edmonton’s Capital Awards Gala is taking place at one of Edmonton’s exceptional attractions, Fort Edmonton Park. From the moment you arrive, your journey through time will begin with a horse-drawn carriage to our host venue, the Blatchford Field Air Hangar. Once in the Hangar, you will be greeted with sufficient wine and hors d’oeuvres to tease your palate and toast your greatness before the dinner and program begins. The evening will feature the humorous and musical stylings of “Bare ‘n Von Hair,” with the ever-popular Matt Day hosting our gala event.
Buying your tickets today is the obvious choice with such an exceptional evening planned. And if you get your tickets before April 30th, you’re entered into a draw for a prize worth $100.
But what to wear?
You can embrace the history of the Blatchford Field Air Hangar, which opened during the roaring ‘20s. Flapper dresses, pinstriped suits, classical stylings that celebrate the decadence of an era that flagrantly ignored prohibition and celebrated life. Sounds like our tellers and keepers, who often disregard the rules and find new ways to share our messages and make extraordinary things happen.
Perhaps the Blatchford Hangar itself is your style inspiration. Maybe it’s an aviation-inspired jumpsuit with a flowing scarf and your favourite aviator sunglasses, or the classic white shirt with a tie beneath a stylish brown leather bomber jacket. What better way to represent your vision, your ability to see past the obvious, your passion for life and adventure.
But, then again, maybe your go-to is that little black dress or your favourite tailored suit. Whatever inspires your wardrobe, remember one thing: the IABC Edmonton Capital Awards Gala is a celebration of you, all our tellers and keepers. Whether you win an award or not, whether you even submitted an entry or not, May 25, 2017, is your night. We would love to see you there.
More details on the event and ticket information are available online. Parking information and event location is available on the Map of Fort Edmonton Park (the Blatchford Field Air Hangar is #75 on the map).
