Welcome to IABC Edmonton's new home!

| April 18, 2013

Welcome to the new redesigned IABC Edmonton website. We’ve been working on the site for a good many months and we’re thrilled to be launching it.

The impetus for a new site was a feeling on the IABC Edmonton board that as the premier industry association for professional communicators in Northern Alberta we should have a web presence that reflects the best in current communications tactics. We think this site meets that standard, and we hope you do too.

We were able to produce this site at a fraction of the cost it would have otherwise taken due to the generous donation of all art and design work by Lift Interactive, and the discounted development and coding services of Rocketfuel. We are very grateful for the wonderful contributions of both of these local Edmonton companies. Please thank them if you see them, or even better hire them.

We also couldn’t have made this site without the tireless volunteer work of two of my favourite people, James Smith and Julianna Veldtman. James and Julianna made this happen, full stop. So if you see them, thank them too.

Our board at IABC Edmonton hopes that this site is first and foremost helpful for you as a member and makes it easy for you to find the information you need. We also hope that it is something that you can be proud of. Your IABC Chapter used to have kind of a junky website and now we have a great one. I feel like this site more closely reflects the level of talent present in the Edmonton communications community and that’s a good thing. Please let us know your thoughts in the comments, and thanks again for visiting.
