That's right. We're more than just pretty faces.
As an IABC Edmonton member, you’re connected to the international communications community and get access to world-class resources provided by IABC’s international office.
Visit IABC International's online collection of content resources—best practices, templates, in-depth analysis, research, how-to manuals, and more. All members have access to CW online, back issues of Communication World, a selection of communications templates, reports from the IABC Research Foundation, and other resources.
Access to IABC International resources is one of the key ways in which IABC International adds value for members all around the world. Besides access to the content library, IABC Edmonton members receive many other opportunities to access industry-leading content.
See job postings or hear from job seekers around the world. An IABC Edmonton membership provides access to all international job postings one week before they are made publicly available. We manage a job board at the local level, and IABC International manages the international job board, so you have access to the best communications job opportunities in Edmonton and around the world.
Gold Quill Awards
Our annual Capital Awards recognize excellence in communications here in the Capital Region. There is also a national-level awards program, the Silver Leaf Awards, and the international standard of excellence in communications, the Gold Quill Awards. IABC Edmonton members have won many Gold Quill Awards over the years, demonstrating our community’s commitment to communications excellence and internationally recognized best practices. The Gold Quill Awards are presented at a gala evening each year as part of the IABC World Conference.
One of the best parts about being an IABC member is that you’re never alone—there is always another communicator willing to offer advice and counsel when you need it. IABC Edmonton members can connect directly with other communicators from across the globe in the Memberspeak Forum, a free-flowing dialogue between members. Post a new communications topic or join in the conversation on an established thread. Memberspeak can be a great way to get ideas or advice from other professional communicators when working through a tricky business problem.
Conferences and Training
IABC offers a wide variety of courses, workshops, and conferences every year, in online and in-person formats. The flagship event each year is the IABC World Conference. This year's conference will be held New Orleans June 5-8, 2016.
