Mentorship Program

The IABC Edmonton Mentorship Program is an opportunity available to both IABC members and non-members. The program provides a space for networking, skill building and knowledge sharing.

Who we're looking for

We are seeking mentors and mentees at any stage of their careers to become a part of our program. Mid-level to Senior-level communicators that can add leadership, guidance and mentorship with IABC to their resumes, and Junior-level practitioners and students can gain valuable industry insight from their experienced peers, all while networking with communications colleagues.

Note: All events run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (with the exception of the June event which runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.). Event locations vary.


Mentors and mentees will be placed in groups of four to five people. Groups will work together on scenario-based projects that focus on four themes: Communications Management (November), Communications Research (December to January), Communications Training (February to March), and Communications Skills (April to May). Groups are expected to continue working through their scenarios between events.
